Anode and Cathode Recoating.
Industrie De Nora
is the worldwide leader in manufacturing coatings for the chlor alkali industry with 65% of the total installed membrane capacity using our anode coatings.
Industrie De Nora
has experience recoating both anodes and cathodes for the Asahi Kasei ML 32 bipolar elements at many locations.
Industire De Nora
has production facilities strategically distributed worldwide. This means that freight cost,
transportation time and spare costs are always minimized no matter the end user location.
Anodes
are recoated by removing the old mesh and installing a new piece of activated mesh. Different anode coatings are available for any voltage or oxygen evolution requirement.
Cathodes
are recoated either by removing and replacing the old mesh, “direct” recoating the original mesh or through the use of our in-situ Voltage Reduction Solution (VRS™). A multitude of cathode coatings are available which each have different characteristics in resistance to shutdowns and iron, hydrogen over potential and price.
Full repair
and leak inspection
services will be done as part of the recoating work.
Mesh replacement
can also be performed at the end user’s plant site with training and equipment provided to plant personnel by Industrie De Nora.
Industrie De Nora
can offer an anode coating lease option at many locations that will help minimize the up-front recoating costs.
Upon client request, Industrie De Nora
can provide the complete package of spare parts needed at the time of the recoating such as: Inlet and Outlet sacrificial nozzles, gaskets and membranes.
Industrie De Nora’s
revolutionary NIR® machine permits renewal of the crevice corrosion protection coating on the anode flanges even without recoating the complete element. |
